At This Moment, It's Us is an upcoming 16mm short film set in London.
Written in 2024, it is currently in production.
SYNOPSIS
The short film follows Delvonte Clarke, a young ballet dancer grappling with his self-worth, rejections, and the sacrifices made by his single mother.
The film is a heartfelt tribute to single parents and a reminder that strength comes not just from perseverance, but also from embracing love and vulnerability.
Shot on 16mm film, we aim to raise awareness of the unseen pressures so many single-parent families endure in London and around the world.

Director/ Writer
Theodore Rodney
Theodore Rodney is a screenwriter and director hailing from Nottingham, with a passion for storytelling that blossomed after completing his academic and sports journey at Rugby School. A graduate in Filmmaking from London South Bank University, Theodore’s final year short film, The World We Hear, earned three prestigious awards, including the Lenny Henry Diversity and Inclusion Award. Since then, he has focused on writing and At This Moment, It’s Us is his latest short film.
A deeply personal story inspired by his upbringing, it aims to highlight the experiences of single mothers and young boys across England.

Dominic 'Domo' Ko
Dominic Ko, a Singaporean producer based in London, brings a diverse skill set to filmmaking with his background in law, finance, and storytelling. He is the producer of the award-winning Straight 8 film My Cuppa Tea and the stage play On Block 788, which he co-wrote.
With a keen eye for narrative, honed through his experience as a student film critic at renowned festivals like BFI London Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and London East Asia Film Festival, Dominic is passionate about telling stories that offer deeper insights into the human condition.

Chaa Ustaoglu
Chaa Ustaoglu is a London-based cinematographer and filmmaker with a passion for storytelling through visual artistry. His work on the 16mm film, The Holy Yield earned recognition as Best Short Film at the TerrorMolins Film Festival and multiple awards for My Cuppa Tea, which he also directed.
Chaa has a particular affinity for shooting his stories on celluloid film, bringing a distinctive and versatile aesthetic to his projects.
